Uttaran Dutta (South Carolina): Stability conditions on product-quotient surfaces

Product-quotient surfaces form an interesting class of surfaces of general type. We explore the stability manifold of these surfaces. In the cases when the group action is not free, we construct non-geometric stability conditions.

Jan Lange (Sheffield): Degenerations to snc-schemes and algebraic cycles

Nicaise--Shinder showed that stable rationality specializes in smooth projective families by studying the motivic volume. We discuss an analogue of the motivic volume for algebraic cycles and its applications.

Evgeny Shinder (Sheffield): Obstructions for multiple fibers in Lagrangian and Calabi-Yau fibrations

Nicaise--Shinder showed that stable rationality specializes in smooth projective families by studying the motivic volume. We discuss an analogue of the motivic volume for algebraic cycles and its applications.

I will explain that Lagrangian fibrations of irreducible holomorphic manifolds over a projective space do not have codimension one multiple fibers, and that the same result holds for Calabi-Yau fibrations of K-trivial varieties, with a single exceptional case, that is in fact realized. This is joint work with Kim and Oguiso.
